It has been an absolutely gut-wrenching day as we said goodbye to our 17 1/2-year-old kitty, Espy. Our "first baby" has been there for us through it all and we had no idea what to expect when it came to in-home euthanasia, but we knew we wanted our girl to go peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, where she's most comfortable. Dr. Elisa and Crystal were the most wonderful, compassionate humans we could ever have hoped for in this situation. As we wavered back and forth and doubted our decision, they assured us of their observations in regards to our kitty's health but never once made us feel like we had to move forward with such a final decision unless we were absolutely sure. There was never a moment of pressure or feeling rushed - there was only kindness and empathy. They listened as we told stories of our girl and we felt safe showing our emotions and grief in front of them. They told us exactly what to expect, let us hold our baby once she was sleepy and gave us time with her afterward to talk to her and cry. When it was time to say goodbye, our kitty was placed in the most beautiful bed and the back of the car to drive to the crematorium was decorated with candles, memorial stones and a plaque with her name. It was completely lovely and reassuring and just what we would hope for our girl. As we continue to process our grief in the future to come, we know we will never regret having Dr. Elisa and Crystal present to help us transition our sweet kitty to the other side. There aren't enough "stars" or positive reviews to thoroughly express our gratitude for the beautiful goodbye we were able to give Espy today, thanks to Forever Companion.

Dr Elisa & Crystal helped us with 2 of our dogs crossing the rainbow bridge in 2 weeks of each other. They were so kind, loving, and caring with both of our dogs, with us, and even our 3 year old toddler. There was no rushing, they answered all the questions we could have had and even told us we were making the right choice which is always so nice to hear even if it doesn’t make it easier. My husband was allowed to carry both dogs to the back of the car which was so beautiful decorated. You can tell these 2 are so passionate about what they do and treat our beloved pets just as we would in their final moments❤️ There was no stress of driving to the vet or our dogs being anxious, or scared. They both passed peacefully in their comfort of their beds. I truly cannot thank Dr Elisa & Crystal enough for everything they have done and the amount of support they provided us.❤️🌈

Such a wonderful service these ladies provide. It was beautiful and they made it a bit easier on both me and my pet. So much better at home than at a vet office. I highly recommend them.

I can't thank Forever Companion enough to help us through one of the hardest moments of our family. They are a 10 out of 10. From the scheduling process, empathy when they showed up, giving us time and space when we needed it and not rushing the process, as well as bringing a amazing bag of treats for our pup to enjoy in the last moments of his life were all highlights during a difficult time. Even loading our pup in after he had passed was a special moment as they had decorated the back of the vehicle as a memorial so it felt special. This was a great company to work with during a hard time.

Dr Elisa and Crystal provided compassionate care in every regard for our beloved dachshund Lucas and our family. We had preregistered a few days before, knowing the time was close. When the time came, everything fell into place for Lucas to have a gentle departure at home with his family around him, including our younger dog. Lucas had a great life and thanks to Dr Elisa and Crystal he had a good death. They treated him with such dignity and kindness.

Dr Elisa and Crystal are the two most kind, comforting and understanding people to be sharing the saddest day with . They treated my Binx with the most gentle care and respect one could hope for . I couldn’t have asked for two sweeter people to handle this heartbreaking moment.

Crystal and Dr. Elisa are incredibly compassionate and supportive! Losing a pet is a horrible process, but they make it easier to go through. I'm so grateful they were there to ease our Gizzy's suffering. We will 100% be using their services in the future.

We are so grateful to Dr Elisa and Crystal for the way they lovingly assisted our goodbye to our sweet Penny. I would never use anyone else in this circumstance. I previously had to say goodbye to a loving pet and used home euthanasia. My dog was carried out in a body bag with the zipper closed. Dr. Elisa and Crystal had Penny on a stretcher covered up to her chin with a blanket with hearts on it and daisy trim. We took a couple of her babies and tucked them in with her. I don't normally leave reviews, but I want to thank the amazing crew who came to help us put our dog down. They made one of the hardest processes much easier. They showed compassion and made sure my dog was comfortable and knew that he was loved. Thank you so much.

Dr Elisa and Crystal are amazing. They made the tragic experience so much more relaxing and smooth. We all dread the day we have to make the choice to let our pets go. They confirmed that it was the right decision and the right timing, which gave us a ton of comfort. I couldn’t imagine doing the job they do but they choose to, and they bring comfort to all the families they help. I highly suggest going with them if you have to make the decision to send your pet across the rainbow bridge.

Our beautiful boy Pacer was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma (blood vessel cancer) back in April and with a sinus cavity tumor in May. His veterinarian suggested that we look into in-home euthanasia services and put Pacer on puppy hospice.

We did our homework while we grieved knowing we were losing our 12-year-old boy, but we knew one thing…we were NOT going to let him expire in a cramped emergency vet clinic room since we knew exactly what was going on and knew what to look for.

We chose Forever Companion because of the vast amount of information they provided on their website. We felt SO prepared when the time REALLY came because the time came almost 2 weeks earlier than we expected. I always “knew” that Pacer would tell us in his own way when it was time. He did indeed tell us! We texted Forever Companion, and we received a reply very promptly! I truly HATE to say this, but I am still waiting for a reply from another in-home euthanasia service after texting and calling them twice.

We were sent instructions about what to do to prepare for Pacer and what to do with our other golden retriever. She ended up staying with a friend of ours for the day. The rest was just a beautiful, peaceful, very pleasant event for Pace! He got to be with his loving parents in his home eating his favorite liver treats and peanut butter as he drifted off to sleep…

The final touch was beautiful as he was laid to rest in a lovely blanket surrounded by flowers, on grass (well astroturf in the back of the company SUV), a teddy bear held a plaque with Pacer’s name, flameless candles, a rainbow pillow, and memorial stones. It was as if Pacer was in a funeral parlor so we could say our final goodbye and take one last picture. A simple, loving touch. Dr. Bandelin expressed to me that this is what she would want for her pet. I sobbed and wholeheartedly agreed! Ms. Crystal Haymond, Dr. Bandelin’s veterinary technician, was an astute professional yet very personal, took a keen interest in Pacer’s life and in how much we really loved him. Doug and I were touched at their listening skills and how interested they were in what Pacer had done during his short 12 years on earth.

The next day I received an email from them asking if we were all right as well as a couple of brochures about pet loss and grief. It’s real and 3 days later as I write this review I still weep for the loss of our beautiful, sweet, loving boy.

In all? These ladies not only provide an excellent service, but they truly care! I am so so sorry that you have to read reviews for in-home euthanasia, but if you get the opportunity to do so it is a true blessing for you and your beloved companion animal and Forever Companion is an excellent service to assist you in doing it with dignity, compassion and most of all with love.

I can’t thank them enough for their services oddly enough. Elisa and Crystal were so compassionate and understanding. They were willing to give us time in order to say goodbye and process what was about to happen. The way they treated our boy after he was gone was absolutely incredible. From coming in with a gurney that had blankets, to covering him up with the blankets and flowers, to having fake grass in the back of the car and a teddy bear holding a name plate with his name on it. It was an unbelievable that they were willing to come out on a Sunday morning to help him pass. Our boy was in bad shape so waiting till Monday would have been unbearable. Since living in Reno for the past 33 years, we have had to put down 6 dogs. I would never recommend anyone else ever again. They were so tender with our shy girl and us. Having to make the hardest decision of my life, Forever Companion made this difficult situation a peaceful, compassionate, beautiful transition for my princess. The way everything was handled was so beautiful and glorious. A flower wreath for my beautiful girl and a shrine was set up in the back of the vehicle with my little girl's name on a heart stone. Let me start by saying that this is never easy for anyone,when you love an animal so much saying goodbye is very difficult and the grieving process is different with each and every person with that being said, Forever Companion was the best choice I have ever made with Mowgli,my 14 year old best friend that has been with me since the moment of his birth to his last breath, Forever Companion made both of us at peace and in the end thats what counts,letting your friend pass with dignity and peace of mind.

My family is so grateful for the compassion and caring that Elisa showed for our little Chiweenie/Pomeranian Cliff. We found out that Cliff had a mass on his spleen and his blood platelets had fallen to almost zero. This all happened within a few days and his condition was deteriorating quickly. My husband and I are so grateful we found the Forever Companion team. Elisa and Crystal were extremely kind and made a very difficult scenario as comfortable as possible. We found ourselves in a situation that we knew was coming, but snuck up on us quickly. On a Sunday morning, we woke up and our beloved, 14 year-old GSD could not stand up. While we had talked about this moment, we were very anxious because we lived in a second floor apartment, had no way to easily get our big boy (115 lb) downstairs safely, and our vet’s office was closed. Once they came, they were so kind and compassionate. They helped us send our buddy off comfortably with no anxiety for him. They reassured us every step of the way, and even shared sweet words of comfort with Duke in his final moments. We will forever appreciate this team for helping us with this last moment of care. We could never thank them enough- they are amazing people who provide an amazing service.

Thank you for coming to Lake Tahoe on a Sunday morning to help our 13 yr old Lab. Letting him exist until his vet opened on Monday along with putting him a car would have been cruel. Thank you for your compassion and sympathy as we said good bye to our sweet boy.

Today we unfortunately had to put our 13 year old lab down. It came quick & fast. Forever Companion knew the circumstances & were there quickly for our family. I said goodbye to the dog I got in my early 20’s yesterday- I’m 35 now and Sam was my world. It absolutely gutted me to make this decision, but Elisa and Crystal made this heartbreaking experience less painful. They treated my buddy and me with such kindness and respect. They took time to get to know Sophie, and they said wonderful things about her, which made me feel so good. She greeted them like old friends. Even though she couldn't walk, she scooted herself into Crystal's lap. They got her back on her bed, gave me all the time I needed, and then gently sent her to sleep. My always happy girl died happy - and for that I will be eternally grateful. Elisa and Crystal are so knowledgeable, but they also truly care. They made a heartbreaking experience beautiful. That sounds crazy, but it's true. I believe the most important thing we can do is to make a difference in the lives of people and animals, and these two women do both!

Forever Companion is amazing. To start, this was a last minute decision I had to make, Dr. Elisa Bandelin and Crystal Haymond responded promptly (after hours) to my appointment inquiry and were incredibly compassionate. They fit me into their schedule, made paperwork easy, and during the whole in person process of saying goodbye to my dear Fletcher (dog) were so kind and compassionate I cannot express how appreciative I am for their above and beyond service and who they are as people given the weight of what they do. They made something that feels out of control and heartbreaking into something that felt calm and peaceful. Thank you to both of them, I cannot repay them for the peace they gave to both Fletcher and I.

Forever Companion made the difficult situation of letting go of a pet much less traumatic for us. We had not done in home euthanasia before, but I couldn't stand the thought of having to bring our senior cat into the vet as he neared the end of his battle with kidney failure. Being put in a carrier and going into the vet office is always stressful, and I just didn't want him to go through that.

They were very responsive and I liked that you can take care of the paperwork and payment ahead of time so you don't have to deal with it in the moment. I contacted them on a Friday evening and they were able to come next day on Saturday. Crystal and Elisa with both very kind and compassionate, and respectful of the situation and our emotions. They talked us through the process and brought blankets and all the necessary supplies.

While losing a pet is never pleasant, I feel that our cat was comfortable and at ease being in a familiar space, being held by us. I would highly recommend Forever Companion for their services.

These people are amazing. I called at 8am as soon as they opened on Memorial weekend and they were able to arrange pickup and cremation of our beautiful angel Lucy. If I could give 100 stars I would. When we had the heartbreaking realization that our Shadow was nearing his last days, I called Dr. Elisa and Crystal that night. They came out the very next day. Even before they arrived I could feel their compassion and care for animals as well as people. When they arrived they had thought of everything that would give our Shadow the most comfort as well as put us at ease when this day arrived. It was obvious that Shadow’s day was here and Dr. Elisa and Crystal took wonderful care of him. This day came upon us quickly and I’m so thankful to find Forever Companion. Thank you both for the wonderful work you do. We’ll never forget it.

We had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to my 17-year-old cat last night. It is never an easy thing to go through, but Elisa and Crystal made it as easy as it could have been. These two professional ladies, Dr. Elisa and Cristal came to our residence on a Sunday to help our Lil Chug cross the Rainbow. Chug had final-stage liver cancer and needed their assistance. We are still heartbroken and thank them for such compassion and caring for our precious little dog. They are the best!

If anyone could ever make this easier than Elisa & Crystal I don’t think they exist. It is a real hard thing to have your baby euthanized but these two really made the transition easy. They were very comforting and made my Maxy feel at ease. Thank you so much, ladies. I love how great you were with my baby.

It’s been enough time that I can now post a review. We, unfortunately, had to use their service recently. They were so compassionate and helpful from the first phone call to the actual procedure. This was the first time we had to use a home service and they couldn’t have made it more humane and respectable to our precious girl, Bella. Thank you Dr. Bandelin and Crystal. Elise and Crystal gave my little girl dignity and helped her to feel loved by allowing her to be put to rest in my arms, her Mama. They truly care about the pet's feelings as well as the fur parents. It is all very personalized. They sat on the floor, allowed Daisey Mae to get to know them, and gave her a couple of bites of duck cookie dipped in cocoa. She went crazy for it!!! We all talked and relaxed a bit before the calming shot, within a minute she was in my arms snoring. It was so peaceful for her. Very Respectful. Thank you!

I just had a precious kitty, Girlie, cared for by them. My girl declined quickly and they came to us on a Sunday the day after I called. They were understanding, gracious and compassionate. I truly appreciated their sensitivity. We even shared stories which softened my shock. I will only let my animal friends pass away at home in their place where they lived their life.

They were prompt to get back to me, available when we needed them, and made the entire process so much easier for our family. In the hardest of times with our furbaby and her being scared of vet clinics we were able to have these services in our home. Dr Elisa and Crystal were so kind and considerate with helping our girl Posey move on. They helped us understand how much pain she was in, how tired she was, and how it is a kindness to ease her suffering. Their care and bedside manner was very gentle. They took the time to meet Posey and get to know her a little bit, and there was no rush in the process. We were given all the time we needed with her before she had her medication as well as after she had passed. It is never a happy occasion to say goodbye to a loved pet, but the experience was calm, relaxed, and peaceful. Our other dogs had the opportunity to sniff and say goodbye to her so they knew she was gone. We appreciate the kind and loving way we were able to say goodbye to our sweet girl. Dr. B took good care of us and is incredibly empathetic. It’s hard to process losing our beloved dog Chardonnay but her kind support and advice made it a little easier.

Loosing a pet can come so quickly and unexpected. Our 20 year old cat seemed to decline over night and we didn’t know what to do. We couldn’t bare to take him to the ER or vet, where we knew he would be uncomfortable and we would be a mess. We started researching & calling “at home euthanasia” businesses. There were a couple that just didn’t sit right and didn’t feel like they really cared. However, it was like night and day compared to the Forever Companion team. The first thing they said was we are so sorry for what your going through, and I just broke down because no one had even asked or validated how we were feeling. Their team came out and very patiently and carefully, walked us through the process. We felt safe and lucky that our kitty got to leave this world in the comfort of his home, with caring staff right by our sides. We contacted them early morning and had an immediate response to our request for euthanasia for our senior dog. We explained what was going on with our dog and they came within a couple of hours. Elisa and Crystal came to our home and provided our 12 1/2 lab Hunter and us with the most easy caring service of giving our dog his last moments peacefully. They gave us enough time to be with him before he had his last breath. We told them lots of stories on our Hunter and only had maybe one or two bad boy stories about him.
